Elysian Coffee Inc. (“Elysian”, “we”, “us”) runs elysiancoffee.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What We Collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you bought.
- Payment details: card payments are handled by Shopify’s checkout and Shop Pay. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account and subscription details: if you create an account or subscribe, your order history, subscription schedule and preferences.
- Messages: anything you send us through our contact or wholesale forms, or by email.
- Email signup: your email address, if you join our list.
- Technical details: basic information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected by Shopify to run the store and keep it secure.
How We Use It
- To process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions.
- To reply to your questions and wholesale enquiries.
- To send you emails you have asked for. You can unsubscribe any time using the link in any email.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who We Share It With
We share only what is needed with the service providers who help us run the store:
- Shopify: our store platform and checkout.
- Shop Pay: Shopify’s express payment option, if you choose to use it.
- Recharge: manages coffee subscriptions.
- Shipping carriers: your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver your order.
Our location pages link to Google Maps. If you follow a link, Google’s own privacy policy applies to what happens there.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Where It Is Stored
Our service providers may store and process your information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, it may be accessible to authorities in that country under their laws.
Cookies
We use only the cookies Shopify needs to run the store, such as keeping items in your cart and processing checkout. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout may not work without them.
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, for example for tax records.
Your Choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal limits. To make a request, email coffee@elysiancoffee.com. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our store is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
